About Me

Diedon Dorambari earned his PhD in Psychology from the University of Bolton.  Dr. Dorambari is an academic and researcher working at the intersection of education and psychology in one hand, and producing 3D cognitive multimedia learning videos (3DCMLV) on the other.  His research interests span in 3D multimedia instruction, metacognition, subtractive-additive bilingualism, and neurosemiotic ToM and empathy, among others. 

 

A recurring theme in his work is the study of instructional humor in multimedia learning, including how individual differences—such as humor predisposition, prior knowledge, and working memory capacity—relate to learners’ engagement, calibration, and performance.  In addition to this line of inquiry, his publications also address broader social-science topics, including bilingualism and learning in the Albanian-language context, metacognitive calibration, as well as COVID-19.
 

Through this research and teaching portfolio, Dr. Dorambari leads in applying the research generated insights on designing 3D multimedia instruction that supports comprehension while remaining engaging for diverse adult learners.  Dr. Dorambari worked as 3D multimedia instructional designer, producer, director, camera animator, and  video editor in producing several 3DCMLVs in Heimerer College.  The topic of 3DCMLVs were about nursing, leadership styles, and first aid.  They were premiered in the Heimerer amphitheatre "Natyra Karahoda", prior to their delivery.

Alongside research and producing 3DCMLVs, he is involved in academic service and leadership activities within higher education.  He is the chair of the ethical committee, since 2024. 

 

Throughout his career, Dr. Dorambari has authored numerous publications and led significant research initiatives that have shaped the landscape of modern digital education. His approach is characterized by a rigorous academic foundation and a forward-thinking perspective on the future of multimedia instruction.
